CatalystMR Inc. (www.catalystmr.com), (www.catalystsurvey.com), and (www.opinionsafe.com) (“CatalystMR” or referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”), is a world-class market research service provider conducting research project with participants from around the world.CatalystMR believes in and respects your privacy and the sanctity of the information that may be provided. We subscribe to and uphold the standards for market research set forth by such organizations as Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO), the Marketing Research Association (MRA), the Council for Marketing and Opinion Research (CMOR), and the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR). Additionally, CatalystMR is in compliance with HIPPA, EU Safe Harbor, and COPPA privacy guidelines. CatalystMR is committed to respecting your privacy.
In most cases, participants take surveys to share their opinions with us. If you have been asked to take a CatalystMR survey, you will find the privacy policy related to that online survey project below.
CatalystMR also manages several market research panels. Each of these panels has its own website with a description of the panel, the type of research performed, and the sponsors of this research. The Privacy Policies for these panels can be found at the respective panels’ web sites.

Choice/Opt Out
Participants who receive email invitations and who do not want to participate in online surveys can unsubscribe by clicking the optout@catalystmr.com link in the survey invitation. Users of CatalystMR services who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional communications, may opt-out by sending their e-mail address to optout@catalystmr.com
Participation in Online Surveys
CatalystMR conducts its business in accordance with the following guiding principles:
- All of the information collected in our surveys will only be used for research purposes and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
- We will never sell or otherwise transmit anyone’s name or other personal information for the purpose of marketing or advertising to you.
- We will use the personally identifiable information that we collect for the purpose of contacting participants in special circumstances, for example, prize winners in a sweepstakes drawing, or when a person has provided permission for us to re-contact them for other purposes, such as to take part in a follow-up survey or to participate in another research panel or market research opportunity.
- We will use the survey results only for market research purposes.
- Our market research reports will not contain any personally identifiable information.
- We take all commercially viable steps to physically protect the information that participants provide.
Other Ways Your Information May Be Used
In addition to using information we collect through the online surveys or CatalystMR affiliate websites in the manners described above, we also use your information as necessary to conduct our business efficiently. For example, from time to time, CatalystMR may use the services of third party organizations to perform certain services on our behalf. We may use such organizations to send postal mail and e-mail, analyze data, provide marketing assistance, and provide customer service. In such cases, these organizations will have access only to personal information needed to perform their functions, but are prohibited from using it for other purposes. We may also disclose your information as permitted or required by applicable law.
Correcting/Updating Personal Information
If you have submitted personal information that subsequently changes (such as e-mail address), you can email us at support@catalystmr.com and we will be happy to update this information for you.
Security
CatalystMR is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, both online and offline. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities.
Personal information collected through this site or in online surveys may be stored and processed in Canada, the United States or any other country in which CatalystMR or its affiliates, subsidiaries or service providers maintain facilities. By providing us with your information, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
Use of Cookies
We may use our cookies to store or acquire data about you and to assist us in conducting occasional diagnostic tests to ensure that our system is functioning correctly. Please note that if you configure your browser not to accept cookies, you may not be able to participate in our programs.
Notice to Children and Young People
If you are under the age of 13, you may not use any services of our site or participate in any surveys. CatalystMR does not intentionally send e-mails to or collect data from children. CatalystMR strives to comply with the specifications of COPPA (The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). If you are a parent of a child under 13, and you believe that your child has provided us with information about him or herself, please contact us at privacy@catalystmr.com. The CatalystMR website does not contain content which would be commonly viewed as unsuitable for children.

The CatalystMR websites and/or online surveys conducted by CatalystMR on behalf of our clients may contain links to websites maintained by outside individuals or organizations. Please be aware that we, CatalystMR, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website which includes any co-branded CatalystMR websites.
What are the legal terms and conditions of participating in this program?
Governing Law: You agree that any dispute or claim arising out of this program or agreement shall be settled by binding arbitration in Oakland, California under the American Arbitration Association Rules. The proceedings shall be conducted and all evidence shall be offered in the English language. Regardless of any law to the contrary, any claim against us must be filed within one year of the time such claim arose, otherwise such claim will be barred forever. We agree that regardless of any law to the contrary, that the arbitrator shall have no authority to award, punitive or exemplary damages against any party to this agreement.
Notwithstanding the above, we may apply to any court of competent jurisdiction for a temporary restraining order or other interim relief, as necessary without breach of this agreement and without abridgment of the powers of the arbitrator.
THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF CALIFORNIA, WITHOUT REGARD TO CONFLICTS OF LAWS PROVISIONS AND SUCH LAW SHALL BE APPLIED BY THE ARBITRATOR TO THE MERITS OF ANY DISPUTE OR CLAIM. FOR ANY NON-ARBITRAL ACTION OR PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS PROGRAM OR THIS AGREEMENT, SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION SHALL RESIDE WITH THE APPROPRIATE STATE COURT LOCATED IN ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA OR FEDERAL COURT LOCATED IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA.
While this program is available on the Internet to international users, the program is and remains a U.S. offering and all use of the information collected is and shall remain subject to U.S. law and practice. International users must take this into account and should consult their local laws and independently determine whether participation is desired given these facts.
Third Party Rights: This agreement shall not create any rights or remedies in any parties other than the parties to the agreement and no person shall assert any rights as a third party beneficiary under this agreement.
Assignment: You may not assign this agreement or any rights or obligations under this agreement without our prior written approval. We reserve the right to assign this agreement, and its rights and obligations, to a third party without your prior consent, on the condition that the assignee agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement.
Waiver: The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Severability: If any provision of this agreement is held to be unenforceable, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable. In any event, the remaining provisions shall be enforced.
Indemnity: You agree to defend, indemnify and hold our company and our affiliates, officers, directors, and employees harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities and costs including without limitation, reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or relating to your breach of this Agreement or misuse of this program.
Disclaimers of Warranty: YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS PROGRAM AND ALL SOFTWARE, CHANGES TO YOUR COMPUTER, FUNCTIONS, MATERIALS AND INFORMATION MADE AVAILABLE AS PART OF THIS PROGRAM ARE PROVIDED ‘AS IS.’ OUR COMPANY, ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL OUR COMPANY, ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THAT RESULT FROM THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE PROGRAM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES RESULTING IN ANY WAY FROM THIS PROGRAM. IN JURISDICTIONS WHICH RESTRICT LIMITATION OF LIABILITY OR DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY PROVISIONS, OUR COMPANY’S LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. THIS LIMITATION WILL APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE FAILURE OF THE ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY.
